She also loved to play with her three dogs cocoa, mia, and Oscar. In July of 2010 Briarlee's mother died from cancer and she was very blessed with a new family. A family who loved her very much. In the last six months of her life Briarlee met Ray and Andrea Samuel from Ocala, Florida. They became the most important people in her life. She loved them very much and asked them if she could be their daughter and they gladly accepted. The last weeks and days of her life were filled with happiness because of them.
